A presentation of new tools for promoting energy efficiency in the field of public procurement invites the following:

  • Public sector customers;
  • Manufacturers, distributors, importers and suppliers;
  • Service providers;
  • Business associations, non-governmental organizations.

With the participation of the representatives of:

  • The Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine
  • The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine
  • The State Agency of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine
  • SE "Prozoro"
  • The project "Promotion of energy efficiency and implementation of the EU Directive on energy efficiency in Ukraine" (hereinafter - the Project), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) and co-financed by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic issues (SECO) (hereinafter - the GIZ project).

The issues to be discussed:

  • the role of energy efficiency in the field of public procurement;
  • reform of the sphere of public procurement and the ability of customers to apply criteria and methods of evaluation of the offer to support energy efficiency in procurement, in particular the method of evaluating the life cycle cost;
  • the development of technical regulations regarding ecodesign requirements and the availability of legal acts, standards and labels for the application of energy efficiency requirements in public procurement, etc..

A presentation of the developed/updated tools by the GIZ project team of experts:

  • Success stories of energy efficiency in public procurement;
  • The project of the updated Exemplary methodology for evaluating the life cycle cost;
  • Calculator for evaluating the life cycle cost of the item of procurement;
  • Information section at www.infobox.prozorro.org - "Environmental Requirements".

The offline participants will receive participant certificates and the opportunity for further consultation from the GIZ project's expert-practitioner team.
